No one is born with a deficiency of medication. Medications can reduce the brain’s natural ability to manage itself.

The decision to use or stay on medications is tough. Though at times they help, there are questions about the longer term implications, or side effects.

We offer you a choice. Rather than rely on medications to help manage attention, anxiety and mood, or sleep, you can be trained to help yourself. We use a special brain-computer connection that is easy for children and adults.

It’s called neurofeedback. Over 2000 licensed clinicians use neurofeedback to help thousands of patients daily. This exciting new field is based on 30 years of solid science and research.

What do these problems all have in common?

  • Poor behavior
  • Lack of focus or poor attention
  • Easily angered or upset
  • Insomnia
  • Impulsivity
  • Learning difficulties
  • Anxiety
  • Poor social skills
  • Developmental Delays (Autism, Aspergers)

These are problems that start in the brain. No child wants to behave badly – no matter what you think. No one likes struggling with any of these issues. These problems aren’t typically a lack of trying or caring. When someone struggles with their brain, it makes life much harder.

Medications target the brain – to try to help the individual function better. They help suppress symptoms. They don’t tend to help improve the underlying problems.

It’s possible to learn to strengthen your brain’s natural ability to regulate itself – and to reduce the reliance on medications or other substances. This can be done using special technologies. Other approaches, including exercise and nutrition will be reviewed and can at times play an important role.

Anyone can learn to get better at paying attention ... staying calm ... being in a good mood ... sleeping well ... controlling emotions ... and controlling undesirable behaviors. To learn more about these new technologies and hear about other proven approaches, call us for reservations at 561-744-7616.
